While on your journey, there will be times when you’ll be alone. When this happens, be grateful for the company you once had, but do not neglect the present with memories of the past. Today is yours, but tomorrow it will belong to the past. Don’t give up your days so easily. Let yourself be embraced by them. You will be surprised by what you find. Though you are trekking by yourself, you are never truly alone.
Look around you.
The Sun and the Moon are shining down on you. The wind propels you, and the Earth embraces your feet. These natural forces will always be with you. Nature is a divine healer and friend. Pay attention to it, and you’ll learn more about the world than you thought possible.
However, if you are still lonesome remember that you have yourself. You are the only constant in your life. It is important to learn to be with yourself. Get to know yourself. Learn what you like and dislike. Recognize both pieces as part of you but remember that you are magnificent. The Earth is not surrounded solely by the light of the Sun or the dim of the Moon. It requires both. Do not discount your shadow side. You must know all parts of yourself to fully love who you are (because you are worthy of love). Turn your love inward.
Once you recognize that you have yourself and the cosmic forces of nature, you will realize that you are never alone. You are always in good company. Do not let the absence of others keep you from walking your path. You will meet others when the timing is right. Until then, enjoy every step by yourself. Breathe deeply and observe. This journey is uniquely yours. You’re heading somewhere lovely.
